Resignation in the Ministry of Defense

The President of Armenia, Armen Sarkissian, has issued an order relieving Stepan Gevorgyan from the position of First Deputy Chief of the Operational Management Department of the Armed Forces General Staff.

"Based on the Prime Minister's proposal, in accordance with Article 133, Part 1 of the Constitution, as well as Article 40, Part 1, Clause 11 of the Law on Military Service and the Status of Servicemen: Stepan Gevorgyan is relieved of his duties as First Deputy Chief of the Operational Management Department of the Armed Forces General Staff," the order states.
