Armenia to Participate in CSTO Joint Exercises 'Unbreakable Brotherhood'

Around 800 servicemen from six countries, including Armenia, will participate in the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) peacekeeping forces' joint exercises titled 'Unbreakable Brotherhood-2021', which will be held in November in Kazan. According to Armenpress, this information was reported by RIA Novosti, citing the press service of the Central Military District of Russia.

According to the statement, the final negotiations for the joint exercises were completed at the Kazan Higher Tank Command School, involving representatives from CSTO member states. The exercise will take place at the military university's training ground in November.

Military delegations from Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, and Tajikistan conducted reconnaissance at the practical action site the day before and determined the composition of forces and resources to participate in the exercises. Thus, a total of approximately 800 servicemen will take part in the joint practical activities.

The exercises will also involve 90 units of military equipment from the Russian armed forces, including two Mi-24 and Mi-8 helicopters, as well as Su-24M and Su-34 aircraft. Representatives from other ministries and agencies of the CSTO member states will also participate.

The negotiations also established a practical action plan for the troops, including decisions related to comprehensive support and compliance with measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
