It Is Known Who Will Replace the Dismissed Deputy Director of the NSS

Today, by decree of President Armen Sarkissian, the Deputy Director of the National Security Service (NSS), Stepan Melkonyan, has been dismissed from his position. There are active discussions within the NSS that Kamо Agadjanyan, the former director of the NSS of Artsakh, will be appointed to replace Melkonyan as the first deputy director.

According to the source, there are more professional cadres in the NSS that the authorities should not overlook. Thus, it is also being discussed to appoint Major General Isay Mkrtchyan, who is the head of the NSS intelligence department and is considered a professional in the system, as the first deputy director of the NSS.
