VIDEO: The Deceased 24-Year-Old Was Involved in a Brawl at an Entertainment Venue; He Was Stabbed

According to SHAMSHYAN.com, a criminal case has been opened under the first clause of the fourth part of Article 258 of the RA Criminal Code in the Masis investigative division of the investigative committee of the Ararat region. As reported by shamshyan.com, this criminal case was initiated following another criminal case launched on July 23 at the Masis investigative division. That other case relates to the pedestrian accident involving 24-year-old Tigran Khlghatyann, a resident of Yerevan, which resulted in death due to negligence.

While the case regarding the pedestrian incident was being investigated at the Masis investigative division, operational information was received by the Ararat regional police about the fact that before the pedestrian accident, the deceased T. Khlghatyann had been at one of the entertainment centers belonging to the Ayntap community, located near the scene of the incident. It was reported that a group of individuals, including Ararat region residents 23-year-old Henrik A. and 28-year-old Narek M., were involved in hooliganism at the entertainment center, which escalated into a quarrel. Subsequently, the dispute continued outside in front of the entertainment center.

Henrik A. invited T. Khlghatyann outside to clarify the situation, where the argument continued. According to Henrik A., T. Khlghatyann had stepped on his foot while dancing, and he warned him to be careful to avoid a recurrence. However, T. Khlghatyann allegedly headbutted Henrik A. in the nose, a fact that was also reported to the police.

Following that, Narek M., who is a friend of Henrik A., intervened in the quarrel and shouted insults at T. Khlghatyann before stabbing him with a knife, causing injuries.

Already injured, T. Khlghatyann ran towards the opposing lane and passed over the iron barriers, where he was hit by a BMW driven by a motorist heading towards Eraskh.

To uncover this incident, operational-investigative groups were created by G. Amirkhanyan, the chief of the Ararat regional police, and Vahagn Grigoryan, the chief of the Masis division of the police. It was confirmed that the operational information received at the Ararat regional police was accurate.

According to G. Shamshyan, Henrik A. and Narek M. have been presented to the Masis division of the police and transferred to the Ararat regional investigative division of the investigative committee.

As reported earlier by a photojournalist from the scene, on July 23, a fatal pedestrian accident occurred in the Ararat region. Around 1:00 AM, resident of Masis, 22-year-old Harutyun Harutyunyan, hit 24-year-old Tigran Khlghatyann, a resident of Yerevan, with his BMW vehicle at the 10th kilometer of the Yerevan-Eraskh highway. The injured pedestrian died on the spot. The driver did not flee and called for an ambulance; however, the medical team that arrived promptly declared the pedestrian dead.
