Will There Be Changes in the Liquefied Gas Market?

The newspaper 'Haykakan Jamanak' reports that the price increase of liquefied gas in Armenia has not yet calmed down tensions. Drivers are extremely angry as the price of liquefied gas continues to rise daily, yet there is no oversight of the market by any state body.

Concurrent with the price hikes, there is a shortage of liquefied gas in the market. 'Haykakan Jamanak' has learned that some companies have raised prices to such an extent that they are preventing sales until new shipments arrive, in other words, drivers are avoiding purchases due to the high prices.

Meanwhile, an employee from one gas station reported to 'Haykakan Jamanak' that the liquefied gas deficit in the Armenian market has arisen because importation from Iraq is challenging, requiring importers to wait for days, resulting in additional financial costs for them. The situation is nearly identical with Russia.

Moreover, there has been no import of liquefied gas from the Islamic Republic of Iran for a long time. This is the reason for not only the shortage in this market but also the inflation.

However, importers of liquefied gas assure that within the next ten days, both the prices in the market will stabilize and the shortage will be resolved.
