Russia Considers Events in Armenia and Around It as a Threat of Western Influence Expansion: Abrahamyan

The head of the "Henarq" analytical center, Tigran Abrahamyan, writes on his Facebook page:

“Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov has noted regarding the activation of the West that ‘our Western partners are now trying to expand their presence, including military, along our borders, including Central Asia and the South Caucasus.’ The fact that Russia is well aware of Turkey's main goal to become more active in our region and the consequences of this is beyond discussion.

Moreover, the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry views the events in Armenia and around Armenia as a threat of expanding Western influence, including military. To this, one must add the signals, both open and covert, from the Armenian authorities to the West, thus providing a more complete picture.

How Russia will respond to different scenarios of the situation's development is hard to say. However, it is clear that Armenia and Artsakh will increasingly confront the contradictions of regional and geopolitical poles in the near future. Is the country prepared to endure new blows? I think this is a clear question for all conscious people, with a painfully clear answer.”
