Will the Commander of the Artsakh Defense Army Change? • Fact
The newspaper "Fact" reports: According to information from "Fact", changes are expected not only in Armenia's Ministry of Defense but also within the Artsakh Defense Army. According to our sources in Artsakh, the Commander of the Defense Army, Lieutenant General Mikael Arzumanyan, intends to resign.
The reason is that Arzumanyan reportedly no longer wishes to work with the leadership of Artsakh and the Republic of Armenia. Concurrently, it should be emphasized that Nikol Pashinyan and his team do not intend to let go of Arzumanyan's services and are planning to persuade him to accept some position in the defense sector in Armenia; however, Arzumanyan is adamantly opposed to such "reassignment" according to our sources.
It is also worth noting that there is no final decision yet on whom to choose as Arzumanyan's successor since it is not possible to appoint just anyone to such a significant position as Commander of the Defense Army, and currently, there is a serious problem with high-ranking personnel in the defense sector.
