Until the Turk Enters the "Proud Citizens'" Bedroom with a Yataghan, People Will Not Understand the Dire Situation in the Country

It is wrong to view the border tensions—more precisely, the military provocations of Turkish and Azerbaijani forces—merely through one or two causal lenses. This was stated by Arman Abovyan, the secretary of the Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) faction.

He notably wrote: "The regional 'collective' of Turks not only seeks to gain tactical or regional advantages but is effectively generating a process that I immediately raised alarm over after the invasion of Armenian territory, albeit to no avail. The lack of a decisive and military response from the Armenian side has, in fact, led to a situation that significantly jeopardizes Armenia's territorial integrity and ultimately equates Armenia’s subjectivity to zero.

Look, when this government refused to expel the aggressor from the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia and instead proposed the worst option for resolving the issue (referring to the mirrored withdrawal of Armenian and Azerbaijani troops from certain sections of the state border), it effectively transferred the immutability of Armenia’s borders into the realm of 'disputed territories'.

Put simply, the Armenian side, with its own hands, turned the invasion of the border areas of Syunik and Gegharkunik into a debate over 'disputed territories'. It is clear that using this pretext, the Pashinyan government will soon advance the destructive idea of 'delimitation and demarcation', but at this moment, the thesis of occupation of Armenian territory is not being solidified in the international political arena, but rather the term 'disputed territories'.
