Short Rain Showers, Thunderstorms, and Strengthening Winds Expected in Armenia
The Ararat Plain and its foothills, the foothills of Vayots Dzor, the valley regions of Syunik, and Yerevan are expected to experience a high fire danger situation. In the capital city today, on the evening of July 23, short rain showers and thunderstorms are anticipated, with wind speeds possibly increasing to 18-20 m/s during the thunderstorms.
From July 24 to 27, dry weather is expected, according to the Hydro-Meteorological and Monitoring Center. In certain areas of the regions today, on July 23, and on the 24th and 27th, rain and thunderstorms are likely, with localized hail possible in some sections.
On July 25 and 26, dry weather is forecasted. The wind will be from the southwest at 5-10 m/s, with wind speeds expected to increase to 18-23 m/s during thunderstorms. The temperature during the daytime from July 22-24 will gradually decrease by 5-7 degrees, and will gradually rise by 2-3 degrees on the 25th and 26th.
