I Don't Know How the Political Situation Will Develop, but We Must Return to Our Holy Sites: S. Mikayelyan

Day by day, the ranks of the Union of Volunteer Fighters (EKM) are being joined by young and adolescent defenders. I am confident that our students will become worthy successors of us and our state.

During an event at the 'Young Defender' training camp, the President of the EKM, Sasun Mikayelyan, stated: 'Looking back at our history, we are convinced that our children need to know where they came from and where they should go from this age. Dear young people, we must always be ready to respond to the enemy. It is very harsh and difficult that we are teaching you such things at this age, but that is the history and fate of our nation. By our geographical position, we are condemned to always be prepared because we are surrounded by enemies. Armies and peoples fight; martyrs win. Our martyrs have won today, having not seen the end of the war. We all have to take our share of the burden and unite. Wherever our brothers have fallen, those places are holy sites for us. I don't know how the political situation will develop, but I say that we must return to our holy sites.'
