Economist Forecasts: This Parliament Will Be Worse Than the Previous One, We Are Far from a Parliamentary System
The exchange rate of the Armenian dram has fully returned to pre-war levels. What economic effect can EU support, amounting to $600 million annually over the next five years, have? Is the Armenian economy capable of absorbing that much money? Economist Bagrat Asatryan discussed this with First News.
According to Asatryan, this is not a path to economic development; it is a means of adventure for mountaineers. He warned, “If we fall into such a pit again, it will be very bad for the Armenian economy.” The economist predicts that this parliament will be worse than the previous one; we are far from a parliamentary system.
