Sargsyan Travels to Tokyo for the Opening Ceremony of the Olympic Games

President Armen Sargsyan of the Republic of Armenia is set to make a working visit to Japan. The press office of the President's administration reports that Sargsyan will be present at the official opening ceremony of the Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo, alongside leaders from several other states.

During his visit, the Armenian President will participate in an official reception organized by Emperor Naruhito at the imperial palace and will have a conversation with the emperor.

According to the source, the visit includes a planned meeting between President Armen Sargsyan and Japanese Prime Minister Suga Yoshihide, during which they will discuss the deepening of Armenian-Japanese relations and related bilateral agenda items.

President Sargsyan is also expected to hold meetings with leaders and businessmen from several well-known technology companies to discuss opportunities for Armenian-Japanese cooperation, as well as visit educational institutions.

The President's administration has indicated that while en route to Tokyo, President Sargsyan will meet with the leadership of the State of Qatar in the capital Doha to discuss issues related to the expansion of Armenian-Qatari cooperation and investment opportunities.
