Peskov on Russia's Efforts for Strategic Stability

The exact date for the Russian-American consultations on strategic stability will be announced in due time, said Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of Russia, to reporters on July 20.

"We will inform you in due time. The consultations at the expert level are being coordinated, of course, by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the U.S. State Department. We will provide you with the exact date," he said in response to requests for confirmation of earlier reports that consultations are scheduled for July 28.

On July 19, the American newspaper The Hill reported that the consultations between Russia and the U.S. on issues of strategic stability are expected to take place on July 28. The State Department has not yet responded to TASS's request to confirm that the negotiations are set for that date.
