Armenia Alliance Makes Decision: Statement
The Armenia alliance has issued a statement: "Dear compatriots, the Constitutional Court did not recognize the results of the snap elections held in Armenia in its decision on July 17. Ignoring numerous facts of administrative resource utilization, violations of the Constitution and laws, and falsifications, the Supreme Court, succumbing to pressures from the ruling political group, refused to fulfill its constitutional mandate.
As a result, the opportunity to overcome the ongoing political crisis in the country was not only missed but the crisis deepened, threatening the existence of the Armenian statehood and the territorial integrity of the country.
In this context, the Armenia alliance, valuing the expectations and demands of at least 270,000 citizens who voted for it in the elections starting from the popular movement initiated in November 2020, has decided to take on parliamentary mandates and assume the responsibility of continuing the fight in parliament.
We fully understand our responsibility towards our voters, Armenia, Artsakh, and the Armenian diaspora in stopping this destructive trend, forming a new quality of governance aimed at national goals, consolidating the entire potential of the Armenian people, strengthening our country, and steering it towards development. The fight continues."
