Who Inherited Armen Jigarkhanyan's Legacy?
The legacy of actor and director Armen Jigarkhanyan has partially fallen into the hands of quite unrelated individuals. As reporters have managed to determine, half of the apartment located on Starokonyushenny Lane, where Armen Borisovich spent his final days, now belongs to businessman Yuri Rastogin. The actor's second wife, Tatiana Vlasova, also claims ownership of the other 50%, but the businessman has no intention of making concessions.
According to media reports, at one time, Jigarkhanyan received a 3-room apartment in the center of the capital, next to Arbat, from the authorities of Moscow. Some time later, he privatized the property along with his then-wife, Tatiana Vlasova, who still owns half of it. Only after his divorce from Tatiana Sergeyevna did the actor sell his 50% share of the apartment to a business acquaintance.
When his marriage to Vitalina collapsed, Jigarkhanyan wished to return to his apartment. Rastogin was accommodating and signed a lease agreement with the artist at no cost. However, it has now become clear that Vlasova is claiming the entire apartment. She even wanted Rastogin to transfer the second half of the apartment to her. The businessman has no intention of yielding, not understanding what grounds he should refuse his share on.
“After Armen Borisovich's death, I met with Tatiana Sergeyevna and Stepan. Indeed, they have come up with an idea; I cannot gift my share to Tatiana Sergeyevna. But why? I am ready to choose accommodation for her at a reasonable price, where she can move. And that apartment is Jigarkhanyan's museum. We signed an agreement about this. His friends know about it. I do not intend to back down from my plans,” Yuri Rastogin stated in an interview with Kommersant.
