Arushanyan's lawyer Erik Aleksanyan made a post on his Facebook page addressing the NAC's response to his statement.

"The NAC spokesperson, when spreading this statement, acts as a judicial subject preparing a report for criminal proceedings, rather than merely conveying information to the public. As soon as this information is clarified, we will provide a complete response. At the same time, I am publishing the decision of the investigative group that was provided to me and the court, and I urge them to have the courage to acknowledge their mistakes. I also urge the spokesperson to refrain from using 'manipulative' and 'cheap' words in response to my statements. Otherwise, next time, they will receive a very harsh response," he wrote, publishing the document.

It should be noted that Aleksanyan had issued a statement, indicating that the decision to arrest Arushanyan was made by investigator Khoren Mejlumyan, while the head of the investigative group, according to the materials provided to them, was Arman Manucharyan. In response, NAC spokesperson Marina Ohanyan announced that Mejlumyan is the head of the investigative team, of which the defenders are also aware.
