Accident in Gegharkunik: Hyundai Sonata, Mercedes, and SAZ Collide, Last One Upside Down Near Lake Sevan

At around 5:00 PM today, a collision occurred on the 70th km section of the Yerevan-Sevan-Ijevan highway involving a SAZ 465 driven by 31-year-old Zhorab Matosyan from Gegharkunik, a Mercedes C180 driven by 54-year-old Edward Sukiasyan from Yerevan, and a Hyundai Sonata driven by 27-year-old David Madatyan from Artashat, as reported by Shamshyan.com.

As a result of the crash, the SAZ veered off the roadway, collided with iron railings, broke them, and ended up upside down near the shore of Lake Sevan among the trees. Investigations are underway regarding the incident. The drivers underwent sobriety tests on the spot, and it was confirmed that they were sober.
