Relocation Program for Residents of Emergency Buildings Launches

The government has approved a relocation program for residents of three dormitory buildings with a fourth-degree emergency status located at the following addresses: 10, 10/1 and 4th lane of Artsakh Avenue in Yerevan.

The program will be funded through the accumulated resources in a special account opened in the name of the Yerevan Municipality from the privatization of state property considered real estate located within the administrative territory of Yerevan, amounting to 500,000.0 thousand AMD.

According to the justification, the Yerevan Municipality has partially started the relocation process for residents of the fourth-degree emergency dormitory building and sports facility located at 10 Artsakh 4th lane. However, the available housing stock in the community of Yerevan does not allow for the complete relocation of residents from the mentioned buildings.

A total of around 340 apartments are required for the relocation of families living in the multi-apartment buildings at these addresses, and currently, an additional residential area of approximately 2000 square meters is necessary to complete the relocation of residents from the fourth-degree emergency dormitory buildings at Artsakh 4th lane.

As a result, as part of the program for relocating residents from buildings in a state of emergency, new housing will be created, addressing the relocation needs of residents from the inadequate housing stock.
