Gyumri Municipality Discusses Property Ownership with Russian 102nd Military Base
The Gyumri Municipality is negotiating with the command of the Russian 102nd military base regarding the ownership and functional designation of several buildings in the city. This was reported by Shantnews.
Specifically, the discussions involve the former Kecji building, the structures in the 8th military district, and the fortress of Aleksandrapol, also known as the Paytadzor fortress. The fortress area is currently unused and abandoned. There have been proposals in recent years to convert the defensive structure into a military museum.
