Accident in Lori: 29-Year-Old Driver Falls 10 Meters onto Railway Tracks
On July 15, a Hyundai passenger car fell from a cliff onto railway tracks in Lori. The accident occurred at kilometer 2610 on the Alaverdi-Sanahin section. The vehicle damaged the railway track and other nearby infrastructure.
Three injured men were transported to hospitals in Alaverdi and Yerevan. Due to the accident, train traffic was suspended for an extended period on the section of railway connecting Armenia and Georgia.
At around 14:50, 29-year-old Arman Vardanyan, a resident of Yerevan, collided with a roadside wall near a gas station in the Baghramyan neighborhood of Alaverdi city under still unknown circumstances. He subsequently crashed into a gas pipeline, causing material damage, and fell onto the railway tracks from a height of about 1 meter.
