When Issuing Reports, Present the Name of the Fallen: Abrahamyan Appeals to the Ministry of Defense

The head of the "Hanaket" analytical center, Tigran Abrahamyan, writes: "According to the Ministry of Defense of Armenia, an incident occurred around 10:30 in the morning in the Yeraskh section of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, resulting in the death of an Armenian serviceman.

I urge the Ministry of Defense to present the name of the fallen when issuing such reports, because there is an ethical issue involved. Secondly, many soldiers are serving in the described area of the border; does the Ministry of Defense not realize what emotions many people experience when they know that their relative, family member, or friend is serving in that area and there is a casualty, but their name is not mentioned in the official report?

Perhaps for some, my observation seems trivial, but I am convinced that this is not only a detail but also fully reflects the attitude of officials and structures towards the fates of people."
