New Details Emerged Regarding Gunshots in Goris: Injured Reported

On July 14, 2021, around 01:00, individuals suspected of committing a crime displayed blatant disrespect towards residents of nearby buildings at the intersection of Getapnya and Garegin Nzhdeh streets in the city of Goris. They grossly violated public order by using firearms and other objects as weapons, intentionally firing shots at two residents of Goris with the intention of unlawfully taking their lives. Although they caused bodily harm, they could not complete their criminal intent due to unforeseen circumstances, as the victims were transported to the 'Goris' medical center and received necessary medical assistance, according to the Information and Public Relations Department of the RA Investigative Committee.

A criminal case has been initiated in the Goris investigative department of the Syunik regional investigative administration of the RA Investigative Committee under Article 34-104, Part 1, Article 258, Part 4, and Article 235, Part 1 of the RA Criminal Code.

During the pre-investigation, an examination of the crime scene was conducted, samples were collected, and instructions were given to the employees of the Goris department of the RA Police to carry out operational-investigative measures. Seizures and searches have been conducted, and several individuals have been interrogated. The investigation is ongoing.
