Indian Strain of Coronavirus Spreading in Georgia

Seventy-two cases of infection with the Indian or "Delta" strain of coronavirus have been recorded in Georgia so far. This was announced by Tamar Gabunia, Deputy Minister of Health of Georgia.

According to her, there are certain risks associated with the fact that the Indian strain is particularly affecting children. She also mentioned that the epidemiological situation in Georgia has worsened in the last two weeks.
