New Details on Yesterday's Major and Tragic Accident in Kotayk Province

According to SHAMSHYAN.com, a special investigation group has been formed by Garnik Mathevosyan, head of the Abovyan investigative division of the Kotayk regional investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia, regarding the tragic car accident that occurred yesterday, July 12, in Kotayk Province, resulting in the death of a 62-year-old resident of Abovyan, Ivan D.

As reported by photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, the leader of the investigation group is appointed senior investigator Sos Sedrakyan, who handles particularly important cases in the same investigative division.

According to Vardan Tadevosyan, the press secretary of the Investigative Committee of Armenia, materials are being prepared in the Abovyan investigative division regarding the mentioned accident, and a number of examinations have been ordered by the investigator, including forensic and automotive technical examinations, after which it will be clarified under which article of the criminal code a criminal case will be initiated.

As previously reported from the scene by the photojournalist, a tragic incident occurred in Kotayk Province yesterday, July 12. At around 16:20, the Emergency Situations Ministry’s 911 operational management center received a call that a КамАЗ vehicle had rolled about 80 meters and ended up in a ravine in the Vahan Teryan neighborhood of the Arinj village.
