Major Car Accident in Kotayk Province: Jeep and Dairy Truck Collide Near Arzvi Wings

Today, on July 13, a major car accident occurred in Kotayk Province. Around 6:00 PM, on the 15 km stretch of the Yerevan-Sevan highway, known to locals as near the Arzvi Wings, a collision took place between a Jeep driven by 34-year-old Hovhannes Ayvazyan from Charentsavan and a cargo GAZel vehicle driven by 29-year-old Mkrtich Mkrtchyan.

According to shamshyan.com, as a result of the collision, both vehicles veered off the road, hit concrete barriers, rolled approximately 10 meters over large stones and earth mounds, and ended up on the lower road.

Following the accident, both drivers, who were initially assisted by passersby and a medical team that arrived promptly from the Abovyan Medical Center, received first aid on-site before being transported to the medical center.

The GAZel, which was loaded with milk, overturned, causing the milk to spill. The Emergency Situations Ministry's Rescue Service, particularly the Abovyan Fire and Rescue Unit No. 45, arrived on the scene with one operational unit.

The rescuers de-energized the vehicles, secured the area, and then helped to right the vehicles and move them to a safe location.
