Identity of 3 Pedestrians Hit by Car Near Hrazdan Market Revealed
According to SHAMSHYAN.com, the identities of the driver of a Mercedes vehicle and the three pedestrians who were hit in Yerevan on July 12 have been established. As reported by photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, the car was driven by 25-year-old Narek Meliksetyan, a resident of Tavush Province, while the victims are identified as 22-year-old Liana Mejlumyan, 22-year-old Susanna Shahijanyan, both also from Tavush Province, and 59-year-old Rita Manucharyan from Yerevan.
According to G. Shamshyan, driver N. Meliksetyan works as a teacher at one of the music schools in Tavush Province. Earlier, the photojournalist reported from the scene that an accident occurred in Yerevan yesterday. At around 10:30 PM, a Mercedes vehicle hit three pedestrians on Athens Street, directly in front of the Hrazdan market. The driver did not flee the scene, and the first to assist the victims were local citizens, followed by the rescue team from the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the patrol service of the Yerevan police.
