Decision to Detain the Brother of the Masis Mayor Challenged
The decision to detain Gor Hambartsumyan, the brother of the Masis Mayor, has been appealed to the Court of Appeals. This information was shared by Hambartsumyan's lawyer, Tigran Atanesyan, on his Facebook page.
It is noted that Gor Hambartsumyan has been charged under the second part of Article 262 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia for facilitating prostitution.
"Gor does not accept the charges brought against him; he considers them simply ridiculous. There is no direct or indirect evidence in the case materials about Gor committing such an act," wrote Atanesyan, adding that he hopes Hambartsumyan will be released soon.
He mentioned that since an investigation is ongoing, he cannot provide more detailed information about the circumstances of the case.
