Protest Resumes in Tbilisi
Journalists, opposition members, and their supporters have resumed a protest in the center of Tbilisi, demanding the resignation of Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili. According to Armenpress, this was reported by RIA Novosti.
Rustaveli Avenue has been closed again, and police are on-site. Speeches from the participants of the protest are expected to take place.
The protests demanding the Prime Minister's resignation began after news emerged regarding the death of a television operator. He was injured during a protest on July 5 against the LGBTQ community.
Although the exact cause of the television operator's death has not yet been specified, the protest participants believe he died because the government failed to protect him.
