The Absence of OSCE Minsk Group Ambassadors in Shushi Sends a Message: The Issue of Artsakh Remains Unresolved, Says Political Scientist Lusine Jamharian
Political scientist Lusine Jamharian has made a post on her Facebook page stating: ‘The ambassadors of three countries—the United States, France, and Russia—were absent among the 46 diplomats visiting Shushi at the invitation of the Azerbaijani government. The latter did not accept the official invitation from Baku and declined to visit the city. These three major powers are co-chairs of the Minsk Group, and their message to Ilham Aliyev is clear: the issue of Artsakh remains unresolved, and there is no alternative to negotiations within the framework of the Minsk Group.
The negotiating format of the Minsk Group will not be altered, and the Artsakh issue will continue to be discussed and find its resolution through the mediation efforts of the United States, France, and Russia. Baku's attempts to consider the Artsakh issue as resolved or to transfer it to other platforms will fail. The Artsakh issue is not resolved, and Azerbaijan must be held accountable for its military crimes.’
