Turkey's Parliament Honors the Memory of Jivan Gasparyan
The Turkish Grand National Assembly has commemorated the renowned Armenian duduk player Jivan Gasparyan. According to Armenpress, during a session, the vice president of the pro-Kurdish Peoples' Democratic Party, Meral Danış Beştaş, noted that the famous duduk player passed away at the age of 93.
“Gasparyan, whose life was filled with pain and longing, intertwined his grief with the sound of the duduk and told us about life,” she stated. “We remember him with respect and gratitude.”
Turkish media also reported on the news of Jivan Gasparyan's passing, highlighting that throughout his long creative career, he collaborated with many renowned musicians, composed music for famous films, and received numerous awards.
