Foreign Nationals in Armenia Will Only Be Vaccinated at Mobile Points
Many foreign nationals are coming to Armenia for COVID-19 vaccination, which has led to long queues in polyclinics, especially in the center of Yerevan. This was mentioned by Acting Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan at the beginning of a government meeting.
She stated that a decision was made yesterday that polyclinics will serve only Armenian citizens and those residing here with a legal status. “Persons arriving from abroad will be able to get vaccinated at mobile points located in open areas. We hope that this will resolve the issue of queues. This once again emphasizes the importance of having vaccines available in the country, as the government has made every effort to secure them and provide them to citizens for free. Perhaps our citizens, seeing the strong reaction from the foreigners, will be more inclined to take advantage of this opportunity,” said Anahit Avanesyan.
