Azerbaijanis Can Casually Award Courage Medal Recipient Kyaramyann, Gegham Nazaryan

Tert.am has published an article by Gegham Nazaryan, head of the initiative "Truth for Generations," titled "As Brave as Kyaramyann, as Much as Nikol is Prime Minister." The authorities of the Republic of Artsakh have awarded Arghisti Kyaramyann, the former head of Armenia's National Security Service and now Deputy Chairman of the Investigative Committee, with a Courage Medal.

Nikol and Arayik are awarding and bestowing a title of bravery on Kyaramyann. Have you appreciated how far we have come? This is a continuous mockery of our statehood and our real heroes. It remains to declare our real heroes, who are buried in Yerablur, as traitors of the nation. If Kyaramyann is brave, then what about our boys... If Kyaramyann is brave, who are Abgar, Mkhitar, Karen, Haykaz, Gor, Vardan, Hayrutyun, and the other boys who gave their lives for the homeland, who fought and were wounded, or miraculously survived?

Who is Kyaramyann? What has he done? They say he organized the defense of Shushi. Really? Well, even if that is true, there are Azerbaijanis in Shushi today. Azerbaijanis can calmly award Kyaramyann.

What is happening in our country, how long will this mental disorder last? Have some been deceived by the results of the announced early parliamentary elections? Do you think we have forgotten about those who brought war and defeat, who surrendered Shushi, who dismantled the army, and killed our boys? Don't be deluded.

Nothing has been forgotten. Nothing will be forgotten. You will not be saved by illegal detentions or mass arrests. This too shall pass, but you will face detailed accountability for the evil you have committed. Do not doubt it. For now, this is all.
