We Will Not Give This Government a Day or a Ray of Light in Parliament. Saghatelyan
The option that only the ARF Dashnaktsutyun will enter Parliament is excluded, said ARF Central Committee representative Ishkhan Saghatelyan at a press conference. He noted that the decision will be made by the "Hayastan" alliance.
“The decision will be adopted together. This decision will stem from the logic of the success of our struggle. If we conclude that by taking these mandates we will give new strength to our fight, then we will go with that option, we will give up the mandates and continue our struggle,” Saghatelyan said.
When asked whether the option of not going to Parliament has been discussed, the Central Committee representative replied that such discussions had indeed taken place in the early stages. “Now we are inclined to the other option, but we will announce the final decision after the Constitutional Court's conclusion.”
Regardless of the circumstances of being in Parliament, Saghatelyan stated that the street is important for them. According to him, this opposition will be different from all previous oppositions.
He also added, “We will not give this government a day or a ray of light in Parliament.” At this stage, they concluded that street protests would not be effective, and for that reason chose the path of appealing to the Constitutional Court.
