VIDEO: Forest fire in Canada destroys much of the city

A forest fire in Canada has devastated much of the city of Lytton in British Columbia. The area had previously recorded a national temperature record of 49.6 degrees Celsius, according to Reuters.

Nearly 90% of buildings in the city have been burned, including the health center and the police station. Approximately 1,000 people have been evacuated due to the rapid spread of the flames, with only 15 minutes given for evacuation.

The police report that some residents have not yet made contact.

It is worth noting that due to the anomalous heatwave in Canada, 130 people have died.
