Vahe Ghazaryan Appoints Colonel Known as 'Steel Hand' as Meghri Police Chief
The Chief of Police of Armenia, Vahe Ghazaryan, has made changes to the leadership of several police departments, according to a report from shamshyan.com.
David Petrosyan has been appointed as the head of the Meghri Police Department, having been previously relieved of his duties as the head of the Artashat Police Department by another order from the Chief of Police. The website notes that Petrosyan is known within the police system as 'Steel Hand.'
In a separate decision, Arsen Voskanyan was relieved from the position of head of the Masis Police Department and, under another order, appointed as the head of the Artashat Police Department. Vahagn Grigoryan has been assigned as the head of the Masis Police Department, previously having served as the head of the Ararat Police Department. Arthur Hakobyan has been appointed as the head of the Ararat Police Department after being relieved of his post as deputy head of the Shengavit Police Department.
