Today is the Deadline for Challenging Election Results and Applying to the Constitutional Court
Today marks the deadline for political forces participating in the elections to apply to the Constitutional Court and challenge the election results. The 'Hayastan' and 'Pativ Unem' alliances have reported numerous electoral violations, which they plan to present to the Constitutional Court. However, they have decided to file separate applications rather than a single united lawsuit.
Yesterday, the 'Hayastan' alliance already submitted its application to the Constitutional Court. The 'Pativ Unem' alliance will submit its application today. In response to whether the issue of filing a joint application with the 'Hayastan' alliance has been discussed, alliance member and 'Hayrenik' party spokesperson Sos Hakobyan stated: 'It has not been discussed, as these are technically separate applications, and we are not familiar with the mechanism for a single joint application.'
The violations identified by the alliances also differ. 'The Constitutional Court will merge them and review them together, or separately; it is already a technical issue,' said Hakobyan. During the court proceedings, it is likely that their petition will be presented by Davit Harutyunyan,” the newspaper writes.
