Return of Jhangiryan's Beloved 'Good Old' Times

Return of Jhangiryan's Beloved 'Good Old' Times

"Hraparak" newspaper writes:

"Queues with cognac and sweets have formed in front of the cabinet of Gagik Jhangiryan, who has been appointed as the Chairman of the Constitutional Court 'by the force of law'. Our sources in the Supreme Judicial Council reported that various judges are coming in line to see Jhangiryan to arrange their cases. The matter is that in July, it marks the end of the three-year term for a number of court presidents, and the Supreme Judicial Council is supposed to appoint new presidents. Judges are lining up to ask, negotiate, express their loyalty, and possibly bribe Jhangiryan to ensure their appointment as heads of certain courts.

Some judges are also coming in to request relocation from regional courts to those in Yerevan. In short, Jhangiryan's favorite 'good old' times of the 1990s have returned, when he appointed judges and presidents, and those dependent on him would queue at his cabinet door, presumably not empty-handed. Meanwhile, families of those involved in military cases were shedding tears due to illegal investigations. We have been told that if the cameras of the Supreme Judicial Council were to turn back, many intriguing corruption facts would be uncovered," the newspaper reports.
