I Don't Hope There Will Be Any Listeners, But At Least I Won't Blame Myself Later: Tevan Poghosyan

The advisor to the President of Armenia and former MP Tevan Poghosyan wrote on his Facebook page: "Two days ago, I raised the issue of our collective responsibility to support Artsakh. In my view, we should make Stepanakert as much an Armenian capital as Yerevan is. But who said that the main offices of pan-Armenian organizations must be only in Yerevan and not some of them be located in Stepanakert?

The ‘Hayastan’ All Armenian Fund could serve as a pioneering example of this. Many lobbying organizations have their offices, which can quickly transform the main office into one based in Stepanakert while maintaining their presence in Yerevan. This is very realistic and commendable in terms of conscious desire.

Steps must also be taken by the state. It is important to repeat successful historical experiences. For example, have we ever considered what structures we had since 1990 that helped Artsakh and Armenia stand together against difficulties and challenges? For instance, the ‘Department of Special Programs’ not only coordinated all connections but also was a forge for state consciousness and state institutions.

Moreover, in a real mood, a Ministry of Integration should have been initiated today within the framework of the government of Artsakh or Armenia. But... well, you understand.

PS: I don’t hope there will be any listeners, but at least I won’t blame myself later for not having made suggestions."
