Groom with Cancer Passes Away in Church Just Minutes Before Wedding in Scotland
Paul Wynn, a 57-year-old from Scotland suffering from terminal cancer, lost consciousness and passed away moments before his wedding as his fiancée, Alison, was walking towards the altar with their son, according to a report by Gazeta citing the Daily Mail.
Paul and Alison had been together for 21 years, but following the grim diagnosis, they decided to get married. Doctors had warned Paul that he had two months to live, as his pancreatic cancer had spread to his liver and lungs.
The man fainted right at the moment his fiancée was walking towards him. According to Alison, she realized something was wrong when Paul suddenly fell onto a chair beside him. “I approached him and called his name several times. He didn’t turn, didn’t look at me, and I understood something was wrong, and I started having a panic attack and began to scream his name,” she said.
Medics rushed to provide first aid to the groom, but they were unable to revive him.
