2 and 5 Years of Imprisonment for Armenian Prisoners of War
During the trial of a criminal case against 14 Armenian prisoners of war at the Baku Serious Crimes Court, the prosecutor requested a sentence of five years of imprisonment for defendants Hrach Avagyan and Gegham Serobyan, as reported by haqqin.az.
For the defendants Armen Baghdasaryan, Gor Gasparyan, Kamo Sefilyan, Volodya Hakobyan, Gevorg Asertian, Sisak Yengoyan, Albert Petrosyan, Romik Sedrakyan, Aram Minasyan, Mkrtich Minosyan, Edgar Mateasyan, and Yuri Karapetyan, the prosecution has requested a two-year prison sentence.
It is noteworthy that Azerbaijan accuses them of committing "diversions" and then carrying out terrorist acts in areas of Nagorno-Karabakh that came under Baku's control following the signing of the trilateral statement on November 9 (quotes added for emphasis).
The preliminary investigation of the criminal case against these 14 and an additional 13 Armenian prisoners of war has been completed and sent to the court for consideration along with the indictment.
