Charges Are Completely False: I Am Not Guilty - Serzh Sargsyan

I listened to what the prosecutor read; it was written by people unaware of the case. This was stated by Armenia's third president, Serzh Sargsyan, in the general jurisdiction court of Yerevan while responding to Judge Vahe Misakyan's question about whether he considers himself guilty or not.

"The charges are completely false, fabricated by the Special Investigative Service and confirmed by the Prosecutor's Office within the framework of a political order," he stated.

In response to the judge's clarifying question—whether it could be noted that he does not recognize himself as guilty—Serzh Sargsyan replied, "I am not guilty."

It is noteworthy that according to the charges against Serzh Sargsyan, "from April 9, 2008, to April 9, 2018, while holding the position of President of Armenia and acting in the capacity of a representative of the authorities, he misused his official position to organize the embezzlement of a particularly large sum of money amounting to 489,160,310 AMD through wasteful means by a group of public officials from January 25, 2013, to February 7 of the same year."
