«We Had Almost All the Preconditions to Impose a Dignified Ceasefire in This War» – Senor Hasratyan
Former Spokesman of the Artsakh Defense Army, Senor Hasratyan, wrote on his Facebook page: “For 26 years, the army created by the 'previous ones' was systematically dismantled by the 'new ones' in less than three years. The fact that we still had an army after such dismantling was proved in the last war, when, according to credible information, the adversary had planned to finish it in a week, but it extended for 44 days. Moreover, at the end of the second week of the war, Baku, finding itself in a state of exhaustion, was forced to reinforce its depleted forces on the frontline with two brigades of Turkish special forces and to employ various NATO military equipment, including F-16 fighter jets. After all this, some uninformed individuals in military affairs are throwing mud indiscriminately on everything that was actually created over the years. Meanwhile, in this war, if not to win, we had almost all the preconditions to impose a dignified ceasefire, except for one perhaps the most important factor – the military-political leadership's ability to effectively govern the country under martial law. We lost because collectively we listened to someone who, being the number one responsible for the country's defense, not only did not understand what the defense system represented but also timely avoided fulfilling his constitutional duty of serving in the armed forces. The result is what we have today.
Note: Any Armenian leader who thinks that the loss of Artsakh can be digested is gravely mistaken.”
