A Purge Begins in the Security Forces: Who Will Be Dismissed?

According to information from the daily newspaper "Zhoghovurd," the head of the Main Department for Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of the Investigative Committee of Armenia, Arthur Melikyan, is set to be dismissed from his position. We have not yet managed to determine the reason for Melikyan's dismissal, nor whether it is related to a new job opportunity.

However, we have learned that there will be more dismissals within the security forces and particularly in the Investigative Committee in the near future, with Melikyan being the first of them. This indicates that we will soon witness a purge within the security system, with officials who have been under the authorities' scrutiny being dismissed in succession, and new appointments are expected to follow them.
