Discussion on the Return of Refugees to Nagorno-Karabakh: Russian Foreign Ministry

The Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has discussed the issue of the return of refugees to Nagorno-Karabakh with the UN High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi, among other topics, as reported by TASS.

"The leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan, and Armenia have discussed the issue of the return of refugees and temporarily displaced persons to Nagorno-Karabakh and surrounding areas, in accordance with the trilateral statement of November 9, 2020," stated the report from the Russian Foreign Ministry.

According to the statement from the Russian foreign agency, Lavrov also drew the UN official's attention to the need to intensify international efforts towards the return of Syrian refugees to their homeland.
