Charchyan Underwent Surgery Yesterday, Stent Condition Investigated: Vardevanyan

Professor Charchyan, the director of the Izmirlian Medical Center, underwent surgery yesterday, June 28. This was announced during a press conference by his lawyer, Aram Vardevanyan.

“The surgical intervention aimed at examining the condition of the heart and the stents. The surgery was performed under general anesthesia,” Vardevanyan noted.

As the lawyer emphasized, this followed the decision to detain Charchyan on June 23. “I hope there are certain limits that the law enforcement will not exceed. This case has such evident issues that the criminal prosecution will inevitably be halted,” he said.
