Anahit Avanesyan Receives Second Dose of COVID-19 Vaccine

The Ministry of Health has announced that acting Minister Anahit Avanesyan has received the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

“It is important to note that there is no need for any testing before vaccination. If there are no contraindications revealed during the questionnaire, medical history, and completion of the checklist, the vaccination is administered. In case of any symptoms or complaints, the citizen will be referred for testing. There is also no need for a pregnancy test. After the first dose, time is needed for immunity to form, which means it is possible to contract the virus during this period. The second dose provides maximum protection. None of the COVID-19 vaccines contain live virus, which means they cannot cause COVID-19.”
