Arsen Torosyan Aims to Hit Two Birds with One Stone: Plans Revealed by 'Zhoghovurd'

'Zhoghovurd' newspaper reports that Arsen Torosyan, the head of the Prime Minister's staff and the acting Minister of Health, already has a new candidate for the ministerial position. According to the newspaper, Torosyan has formulated a new plan to send his friend's wife, the current deputy minister Anahit Avanesyan, to the parliament.

Under Torosyan's plan, Avanesyan is set to take over the chair of the Health and Social Affairs Committee in the National Assembly. This move would allow Torosyan to eliminate Narek Zeynalyan from the equation and secure a person he trusts in that committee. It's no secret that Torosyan and Zeynalyan have faced issues, which have been reflected in parliament multiple times.

Regarding the ministerial position, Torosyan already has a new candidate in mind: his deputy, Sargis Torosyan. The latter has served as the Deputy Head of the Prime Minister's staff since April 10, 2019. Though a lawyer by profession, he has also held positions within the healthcare sector. It's noteworthy that Anahit Avanesyan is not a specialist in the healthcare field either, being a lawyer herself.
