If the Opposition Decides to Appeal to the Constitutional Court, the New Parliament Formation Process Will Be Delayed: 'Hraparak'
The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) will announce its decision on the final results of the elections on the 7th day after the election day, which is June 27. Only after that decision can it be contested in the Constitutional Court. According to the law on the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Armenia, the Court is required to make a decision on such cases no later than 15 days after the application is filed. This means that if the opposition decides to appeal to the Constitutional Court, the process of forming the new parliament will be delayed, and the first session of the National Assembly will not take place on July 5 but at a later date,” the newspaper writes.
