Ultraviolet Radiation Index is High: Those with Fair Skin are Advised to Stay in the Sun for 18-22 Minutes

The intensity of ultraviolet radiation is above normal. It is advised to avoid direct sunlight from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This information has been provided by the Hydro-Meteorological and Monitoring Center.

Today and tomorrow, the ultraviolet radiation index across Armenia is expected to range between 6-7 (high). For values of 6-7 on the ultraviolet radiation index, those with fair skin are advised to stay in the sun for 18-22 minutes, while individuals with dark skin should limit their exposure to 35-39 minutes. Prolonged exposure may result in noticeable redness of the skin, or erythema.
