My Visit to the Office of the ‘Civil Contract’ Party on Election Day Misinterpreted: President of Artsakh
My visit to the office of the ‘Civil Contract’ party on election day has been misinterpreted. This was stated by the President of Artsakh, Arayik Harutyunyan, during a rally held in Stepanakert on June 22.
“I have also had meetings with the leaders of the ‘Prosperous Armenia’ party, Gagik Tsarukyan, former Prime Minister of Armenia Hrant Bagratyan, Aram Sargsyan, the leader of the ‘Enlightened Armenia’ party, Edmon Marukyan, Samvel Babayan (former Secretary of the Security Council of Artsakh - ed.), and others. I maintained neutrality and conducted meetings after the voting,” he noted.
According to him, Artsakh should remain a unifying factor for Armenians, regardless of who is in power in Armenia. Harutyunyan invited all political forces of Armenia to come to Artsakh to discuss the future. “It is unfounded to accuse me of betrayal and inaction,” he added.
